Corporate team building (half day event)

Survival is based on 4 key elements:

Navigation
This activity is designed to teach participants basic navigation skills ranging from basic map and compass and reading of the land. Good planning and communication is required to complete this task.

Understanding how to read an OS map (i.e. contours), using a compass and reading off the land.

Fire
This activity brings you back to the basics of all survival needs in teaching you how to produce fire required for basic heat, light and cooking. This promotes team work and sense of achievement in completing this task.

Demonstration of different methods to make a fire ( e.g. flint).
Practical exercise – build a fire challenge.

Shelter
The objective is to create shelter necessary for survival, protecting you from weather conditions, wildlife and keeping you off the wet ground which will prevent e.g. hypothermia. This activity requires team work, collaboration and strong communication skills.

Food and water
This activity is the final part to survival. Once you can find your way, build a fire and create a shelter, the last essential for survival is food and water. This activity aims to teach you how to set traps, prepare animal for eating and how to find food and water sources for survival.
